Shawn is 7!!

This was a big weekend for Shawn..one he has been looking forward to..His birthday was Friday, so that day we went to Green Bay to N.E.W. Zoo..it was a nice day not too hot and Mason's first time to a zoo. Korey a friend of Shawn's was along too. Shawn's request for lunch was Hu Hot.
Saturday was his birthday party and most of the family on both side came. It was another nice day and we were able to be outside. The guys played with their RC trucks and also went to the ball field and played ball.
Kara's spent the night as meeting was close to us and then we had dinner together at ( where else?? ) Half Nelson's.
Today it is back to LIFE.. Alicia worked last night and Chris is back today. I got up at 5 AM to watch Mason til Mom came home.
Shawn's cake was made by Auntie Kayla and her dad..they did a great job!!

Good-bye Steve

The last week has been a hard one...as we said good-bye to a fellow friend from our meeting. The funeral was yesterday and it was big with Steve's friends and co-workers all there to pay their last respects. Our meeting this morning was wonderful in spite of all the tears. Steve's family was with us today and that was special.
Glad for all the comfort we had..
I love sunsets and we heard from Stanley about sunsets and that the clouds are what makes them beautiful.. it reminded me of the hymn.. Back of the Clouds.

Remembering Steve. 1960-2009

Iowa

The end of last week we all from this house went to Iowa to visit my parents..it was a quick trip..we spent the day with them..had a good time and we took them out for dinner and then took Mom to Goodwill and then she showed us where she was born...I've seen it but she wanted to show Chris and Alicia...after that we stopped at the cemetary and then took a different route home...Mom likes to get out and about..
Sunday Kara and family were here for lunch and then later in the afternoon Levi and Kayla come too.. the guys went to the park to play ball with the boys and then they played with their RC trucks.
Today Alicia had to take Shawn to the dentist..he got hit in his front tooth by a bat at Little League...it was not cracked all the way through..so they just put a sealer on til Thursday when he will see a pediatric dentist...never heard of them before!!

Been awhile!!

Lots of things have happened since the last time..
Last week we spent a lot of time in the hospital waiting room..Chris' brother was in a fireworks accident...his left lung was injured quite badly..was intubated from Friday til Thursday but then was able to go home on Monday..
Saturday we were to Kayla's bday party...was a nice time...
This week has been catch up.. and today we finally got to do some scrapbooking...I did mine on the computer with Creative Memories and then printed them..
Monday night I went with Chris to Shawn's Little League ... he does pretty good at hitting the ball and made it around the bases and home once.
Mason is growing... he eats a lot, but does do some spitting up.. he is a slow eater so takes a while to get it all done...makes the nights not so fun for Alicia..
She plans to go to back to work at her part time jobs next week...
Summer seems to be flying by..

July already!!

Mason turned four weeks old on Sunday...so will show a picture of him...he was all ready for meeting, but before they left he needed to be changed...big surprise!!

Monday we met up with Kara and the kids and visited Menomonie Park is Oshkosh...a storm came up .. it was fun to watch the birds over the lake.

Our lillies are blooming...alot more of them than last year..
