snowstorm Denise

This year so far winter is showing it's true colors....we had another great storm yesterday...up to 10 inches of snow in different areas and now it's turned cold with below zero chill factors. Chris was up at 3 AM to go plow and did it for several hours yesterday.

The house is at a stand still today but tomorrow they will be stacking the logs for the west wall.

Just some more snow pictures.....it is so pretty.

more pictures..

They have most of the wall out..just working on the corners..it was
a bigger job than they thought it would be and then they decided
not to take the charred posts out for fear of things would
start falling and especially as a lot of snow is forecasted for
the next two days.

This is a picture of the ceiling in the dining room area... the boards are just
laid up there as  yet but it helps the electrician to be able to work up there,

Chris, Mason and of course SHOOTER were taking the
bricks out that the old fashioned cook stove was on.
I am excited that they have found a place to put it in
the "new" house!! Can still use it for pizza!

AND if there is nothing to do you can always see what Mason finds to do..

Wall is coming down..

Today the weather had turned to the milder side...so the builders worked on the getting the west wall (the most burnt wall of logs). They went throw a lot of Sal blades trying to cut the windows out.

There was only one of the top windows that still had glass in it so they had to be extra careful. They also had to take caution so the wall wouldn't FALL on the deck..

Honors Band and Choir

This past Saturday Trevor was one of those chosen from his school to take part in the honors band and choir. They get together with students from other schools and spend part of the day learning to play or sing together. Last year Trevor was in the band part and this year he was in the choir.

Both band and choir did a fantastic job...for the time they had to learn it.

sanding and walls..

This week they have been working everyday and sometime with two crews.....so it is exciting to go up and take a peak every evening..

By today I think they will have all the sanding done on the logs and the ceiling in the bedroom.

The beams for the floor of the loft are all up and some of the posts and the stairs are in for the downstairs.

Now for pictures:

Thanks to my sister for texting this..

Death is an angel sent down from above
Sent for the flowers and the lilies we love
Surely it's so, for in heaven's own way
The soul is a flower of the Master's bouquet

Chorus
Gathering flowers for the Master's bouquet
Beautiful flowers that will never decay
Gathered by angels and carried away
Forever to bloom in the Master's bouquet

We must be faithful till life's work is done
Blooming away in the warmth of the sun
But every bud and each blossom some day
Will bloom as a flower in the Master's bouquet

Death is an angel sent down from above
Sent for the buds and the flowers we love
Truly so, for in heaven's own way
We're only the flowers in the Master's bouquet

Loved ones are passing each day and each hour
Passing away as the life of a flower
But every bud and each blossom some day
We'll bloom as a flower in the Master's bouquet

Let us be faithfull till life's work is done
Blooming like flowers till the Reaper shall come
Then we'll be gathered together some day
And planted to bloom in the Master's bouquet

In memory of Della Jean..

Just some little memories of Della...when we would go to visit her in Greeley..she would see Harold and right away say his name and salute him.... One of the stories Harold would tell is how good she was when throwing the ball and even backwards could hit the target!

Since she left home she has always been treated with love and care just like she had at home..and it was always a pleasure to go visit her.
