Hydranga...the color is so pretty!

Hibiscus..they are right outside of my bay window.

In early summer there was something eating the rose leaves
after spraying them they came back and bloomed beautifully.

New flag the old one was tattered.

August trip to Minnesota

We took a trip to Minnesota to get in on some of the action at Williams's Produce...it was a busy time as usual...but fun and we had the camper which we pulled with Harold's pickup. It is a diesel so the mileage was much better.

We also went to Sibley Iowa to see Mom and we took a drive to the cemetery on the third anniversary of Dad's passing. We wanted flowers and thought we could find wild ones to pick but the roadsides didn't have much....so when we got there there was a corn field next to the cemetery....Alicia went over and picked a couple cobs to lay by the stone.  Very fitting as Dad was a farmer all his life.

Mom's birthday is the 25th so we celebrated with a big dinner at Kerry and Janna's..had lots of fresh produce...YUMMY.

The story behind the chair is that Alicia borrowed out of Janna's porch to use as
a photo prop for taking pictures of the boys...Janna noticed the chair was gone before
we got back to her house!!!

Getting some things done

This is a rocker that I got from Dad and Mom when their house
was broken up. It had first belonged to her Uncle Hessell
from Orange City Iowa. I had recovered it when I brought it
home. Then after the fire it needed to be redone. I found the little
footstool and covered it to match.

A picture of my wall of cross stitches that I had done
in the 80's....

To have a little more storage Kara said why not put crates above the windows
also....I like it and that I can put some dishes there...we now have little lights
running across the top and into the crates....it makes a good night light too.

door from Pearson's

This door came out of Dick and Lyn Pearson's old house...this
is the house that we first went to meeting at when we moved to
the Medford Wisconsin area. When they built their new house we
took some of the woodwork from there to use on our house.
Do to time and circumstances most of it was lost one way or
another..the door remained and I had hoped to use it my house in
New London.  Now it found a home as a backdrop to my desk in my
new abode.

storm....

The crew is taking the garage down so they can get the cars..the piano in the foreground
was in the garage...Chris, Harold, Mason and I went over to Kayla's grandparents. Chris
hauled many loads back to the woods.

Here you can see where the house was moved off the foundation by the winds that
they later called a tornado. There was lots of damage by this storm across our area.
Lots and lots of trees were destroyed.

Interior of the house..dining area and kitchen

A lot of their trees were broken down or pulled out roots and all.

Where to begin???

Since the last post much has gone on....

Came back from the trip.... I have been going through all the boxes of my things that were cleaned by
Square One and sorting the things to keep, give away or find a home here in the house for them...There were 200 and some boxes...I now have gone through all except 10 or so.

I did spent a little time with Levi, Kayla, and Taelynn.

Another day I went to Kara's for the day and made dinner...Kara had suggested that she was hungry for my macaroni and cheese....so with Erin's help in finding things in the new kitchen we got it made.. We also made a rhubarb dump cake for dessert....so rhubarb from the new garden.  And also watched as they put their things up to make the house their home.

Alicia has been busy with Harold and trying to get him better after a nervous breakdown..he is in the
Tomah VA hospital getting treatment...seems to be getting better.

I bought Levi and Kayla's PT Cruiser and sold mine....the AC in mine didn't work and there were other problems too.

I also found a piano at the right price and it was in Waupaca, so not so far the move...but it had to moved up 7 steps....so not an easy task. The woman that had it had it for 30 some years and only owner and kept it tuned. Mason has been liking it. I just found some music books and now I can practice.

I have been working on my rooms...still boxes to get rid of... The other day Chris put the crates up under the bay window to use for a bookcase. Alicia came up with this idea and really like how it turned out and even the colors that Chris picked out!!

Shooter got  hair cut to help him be cool in this HOT weather and hoping for less shedding!

Our dark wood is really pretty but it does show the hair more than the light wood we had before.

Yesterday we went down the Wolf River on a pontoon boat that belongs to Chris' uncle....it was a great way to spent the day and try to beat the heat. The wind in your hair felt good and we did go into Lake Pogon a little ways and feeling the waves was really relaxing.

Swimming on the sand bar. Shooter and Mason were the same
they liked to be in the water and then come back on the boat
and as soon as they were back on they wanted to be in the
water. Shooter would get tired and then go to someone to
hold him so he could rest and then of swimming he would go.

A picture of my room...my headboard is and old window with curtains swagged
on it. Room is coming together.

My sitting room as it is now...can see the crates under the window.
