COMPANY

The last part of July we had company for a couple of days......they brought sweet corn from some friends and we froze it .... got 17 bags...plus we had some to eat fresh...yummmyyyy!! Bonita and Tanya brought some blackberries and Bonita made that into jam.....good on bread and even better on ice cream!!

On one her walks Bonita brought home a bouquet of wildflowers...I like flowers of all kinds...so that was special!!

Neeltje (de Boer) Visser

October 23, 1923 - July 23, 2012

23 oktober 1923 - 23 juli 2012

A few days ago, the sad news arrived via e-mail from my cousin Saskia that her mother, my Aunt Neeltje, passed away in The Netherlands. I have had the opportunity to meet her twice, once in 1995 and again 2010. Neeltje was my father's youngest sibling and the last of Brant and Jetske de Boer children to pass away. Her memories will be forever in my heart.

Een paar dagen geleden, het droevige nieuws kwam via e-mail van mijn nicht Saskia dat haar moeder, mijn tante Neeltje, overleden in Nederland. Ik heb de gelegenheid gehad om haar twee keer, eenmaal in 1995 en opnieuw 2010. Neeltje was mijn vaders jongste broer en de laatste van Brant en Jetske de Boer kinderen om weg te gaan. Haar herinneringen zullen voor altijd in mijn hart.

JUST US

JUST US is a group that plays bluegrass for relaxation.

A couple of weeks ago they played in the park at the little burg of Neeshkro....music was great and the park was along the river...a pretty scene.

The players are Jamie K. , Loren K. and Keith K.

July flowers

This has been a very different year as far as weather goes....we've had an early spring and so the rest of the year has followed...therefore the flowers and such all bloom much earlier than normal. The weather has been very dry but Chris keeps the flowers and lawn watered.

The hibiscus are very pretty and  the yellow daises are so lush. I hostas were all done blooming so I cut the blooms off before Shawn's party.

13 weeks...

IT'S BEEN 13 WEEKS SINCE SURGERY AND THE REPORT I GOT TODAY IS THAT THE BONE IS NOT HEALING AND.....ONE OF THE TOW SCREWS PUT IN IS BROKEN...I WISH NOW THAT I WOULD HAVE TAKEN A PICTURE OF THE X-RAY.....NOW TO WEIGH THE OPTIONS AND ALSO TO FIND WHY IT DID NOT HEAL.....

I DON'T LOOK FORWARD TO THE TIME OF HAVING TO BEAR NO WEIGHT ......  THAT WAS NO FUN!!

Chris took these pictures of Mason after Chris and Bob were working on Bob's truck...he's much bigger than her was when Uncle Levi put him on the creeper when he was a few weeks old!!
